HIQA Regulation Handbook

Wednesday 30th October 2019

HIQA Regulation Handbook - a guide for providers and staff of designated centres is a comprehensive overview of how we regulate. The handbook tells the story of regulation from the first receipt of information (application to register) to our enforcement powers. It should be used in conjunction with our other guidance to guide providers and staff in the provision of services. The Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) is an independent statutory authority established to promote safety and quality in the provision of health and social care services for the benefit of the health and welfare of the public.

Please find the handbook here.
